Financial Congress of the Association at Bled

Distinguished guests!

Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends!

I am pleased and honoured to be able to greet you on behalf of the Slovenia-Liechtenstein Friendship Association here at Bled, the natural and tourist pearl of Slovenia and Upper Carniola.

Mrs Irena Linasi Rogač at the conclusion of the congress presenting “A brief summary emphasising the importance of financial and energy independence”.

Today’s Congress on Energy and Financial Independence – The Alpine Green Day is a linking event between Slovene and Liechtensteinian companies in the field of energy and finance and represents an introduction to the long-term friendly and business cooperation.

Our mission is based on strengthening the links with Slovenes who live and work in the Alpine macro-region. Our engagement in cultural life in the region and tourist exchanges is being upgraded on business, financial and academic levels. We are trying to pave the way for young prospective students and provide them with some attractive opportunities in the field of student exchange programmes in Slovenia and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

The long-term goal of this project is to strengthen our friendship and active involvement in the areas of business and finance, that is, in the exchange of good practices and the implementation of positive strategies. We all know that the opportunities in both countries, Slovenia and the Principality of Liechtenstein, are immense.

This exceptional international event can consequently contribute to strengthening good business practices and stimulate new development challenges in the region. In other words, it can deepen our awareness of healthy, environmentally friendly and active life in the Alpine paradise that we belong to.

I sincerely wish that a number of highly esteemed Slovene and foreign lecturers and business partners who participate in this project will also be the bearers of further business development and exchanges within our association.

The SLO-FL business institute, proclaimed and inaugurated by Prince Nikolaus von und zu Lichtenstein in August 2017, will be able to continue its mission this year. We will thus contribute to the development of charity work and the creation of contents that will help talented young people from different perspective areas.

I wish you all a nice evening.  Thank you for your attention.

From the welcome address given by Silvester Likar, the President of the SLO-FL Association, at Bled on 16 February 2018

The Carinthia regional television also prepared a nice  video contribution to the event.

Our common plans for the future

Professor Matej Ogrin, PhD, presented “An example of successful cooperation in the sustainable development of the Alps between Liechtenstein and Slovenia”; CIPRA INTERNATIONAL, CIPRA SLOVENIA.

The evaluation of this project will be our top priority in 2019, when we are planning to conduct the “Slovenian Day” in Liechtenstein, which is intended to be a gift of our organisation and the Slovene homeland to the Principality of Liechtenstein on the occasion of its solemn celebration of the country’s 300th anniversary. On this occasion, we are planning to carry out the central Slovene cultural event in this region, as well as organise business and bilateral meetings.

The positive atmosphere at the Congress was increased through the contributions of prominent speakers. Director of Robotina d.o.o., Mr. Devid Palčič, managed to link technology and modern financial instruments. His renowned company has already successfully entered the crypto market.

This year, we are also planning to visit the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein with the assistance of our country and business partners.

If you feel like joining us, please introduce yourself by sending us a brief description of yourself or contact us at info@slo-fl.eu.

Welcome! Together, we will be able to accomplish a noble mission and achieve the goals of the Slovenia-Liechtenstein Friendship Association.
